Clipstone Welfare's debut in to the Baris Northern Counties East League Cup ended in disappointment after a strong display and come back by their visitors from Barnsley, who now progress in to the next round to face AFC Emley next Tuesday evening.

Clipstone started the tie brightly and looked the more likely to score with chances going astray, but in the 16th minute, the home side was awarded a penalty to which they duly slotted away to take the lead. The visitors looked a bit shaky at the back as Clipstone kept surging forward but the final ball was not to come.

From the kick off in the Second Half, the ball was sprayed out wide to the Clipstone right winger who sent in a low ball to the Clipstone striker with only the keeper to beat, but the keeper went low and spread his body large and saved the day for his side. This seemed to alter the game, as Worsbrough seemed to gain in confidence and looked to attack at every opportunity and it was no surprise when they were on level terms on 61 minutes. The following attack and it was all change around as the visitors had gone in to the lead on 66 minutes..Clipstone pushed players forward in aid of a equaliser and take the game in to extra time, but the visitors cleaned up the game on 73 minutes when scoring again to make them comfortable and deserved winners in the end.
